粋, 艶/A Leader with Elegance and Aura
As a simple message at the Commencement

This week was a commencement week. On Monday, I attended the ceremony in Kyoto and surrounded by many smiles which were brighter than the sunshine. These big smiles remind me a story about past leaders who were also like sunshine.
It was 1989, when Mr. Noboru Goto, Chairman of Tokyu Group passed away. I know he is not only famous but some people say not so positive about his business But even now, after more than 30 years, an old owner of Gion (Geisha town in Kyoto) still remembers him and calls him as “He was elegant and had aura (艶)”.
Well, friend. Is anyone hit to your brain who has elegance and aura at the current leader?
Niseko in Hokkaido is still a “must-go” place for skiing globally, but that area was originally developed by Seibu Group (Mr. Tsutsumi) and Tokyu Group (Mr. Goto). Not only Niseko, but we also have much good development by these tycoons. Mauna Lani, where I have a small and old condo in Big island, is one of the masterpieces by Mr. Goto, developed with Rockefeller Group.
