On top of the investment banking business, I have been involved in property investment activities for already 2 decades. The great lesson we have learned on property business and always cyclical, in the good time, or even bad times. For the comparison among all major cities globally, we use value for the property at price per square feet, or per Tsubo (in Japan and Korea). But the current global change through the COVID-19 pandemic may show a different parameter for judging the value of place/spot. This may be valued not only by dollar value but also by the happiness, comfortableness of the people as well; Hence it may take time to formulate this valuation method.

The more people being isolated, the more people desire to meet each other. This pandemic may have accelerated this desire globally. Talked to my friends in Silicon Valley, the most advanced “remote-able” workplace of the world, they are also eager to meet to exchange the idea with meeting in person.
