Just after the weekend before Christmas, I moved to Haneda airport for the hideaway on the Big Island, as usual. The only difference is taking ANA (usually JAL with a direct flight to KOA, but unavailable this time). Thanks to ANA, I enjoyed the luxury of champagne, sushi, Hibiki shot, and chicken curry (JAL has beef as a classic) and went toward KOA via HNL. Surprised to see all flights to HNL were packed and fully booked from First and Business classes. Interestingly, I see many single Japanese ladies sitting there alone to prepare for their single stay in Honolulu. Despite the weakened Japanese Yen, total outbound traffic over New Year's Days from Japan will be 1.2x from the previous year and 1.5x to Hawaii which are all historical highs.

Looking over the article, Japan has the lowest happiness prospectus for the year 2025…
