A lesson in the Crisis: Agility matters / Coaching from Sub Zero — fighting against COVID-19 with Zoom / Spring 2020 /Session 14
Alongside my teaching the undergraduates, I am still active on business; Own investment and advisory, also service management in hospitality and F&B industry are the key areas for me. At the same time, I update at my class with what I am learning at the business field, on which I believe add value to what I am teaching to the students; Yes, my position is to be a bridge between practitioners and academia, which makes my mind creative how I teach what I learn at the real business, most of which I feel much important that business administration.
This Tuesday, I got shocking news from Hong Kong. Due to the unexpected increase of COVID-19 positive to 40 (much lower number than Tokyo though), the Hong Kong government has tightened its policy of restricting gathering, including stopping inhouse dining at the restaurants between 18:00–5:00 am, which will remain by the end of this month. Hong Kong government demonstrates not so attractive policy sometimes, but they are very quick on the action on this kind of matter. Also from the lesson at SARS in 2003.
