Kona Wind / An August to remember

“Hiro, when you travel abroad, please let me know as stopping to take flights. Your travel always gives us some news!” That is a classic comment from one of my best friends in Hong Kong.
Yes… Last August was Maui Wildfire (https://medium.com/@masahironakagawa-272/life-story-from-los-angeles-and-hawaii-723fa4e0d387) and Japan Airlines crash and a miracle escape in January (https://medium.com/@masahironakagawa-272/kona-wind-winter-2024-part-1-1c3d38d155b3). This time, we had a huge earthquake, many typhoons, and thunderstorms, nearly stopping my friend’s flight from Haneda to Hawaii. Moreover, just finishing the 11th hole at Mauna Lani, Junko shouted; “Prime Minister Kishida will not run for the next term! Now understand the rationale for his action currently!”. The stock market continues on a bumpy ride and feels the tide of geographical power has been changed. This August in Hawaii turned into another to remember.
