Recalling Starship’s smash hit in 1985 (when I first step in the US), this song rings my bell now, the aftermath of over-tourism in Kyoto (the attached photo is Clock-bell in Bukyo-Ji temple in central Kyoto where we are allowed to hit at any time between 6:45 am to 7 am every morning), to tell the morning coming. But the real Kyoto is not enjoying seeing the sunrise yet.

In this ancient city of Kyoto, most of my classes are suffering. Still, most seniors can not find the job after graduation, and more than half of them lost their part-time job due to the closure of shops and restaurants from COVID-19. Is this a one-time problem? I analyze that system of this city has many issues. The core one? The government and leaders are not good designers of the city.
